Born in New York in 2026, Liora Tyron offers tableware, drinkware, and objects designed for the rhythm of an independent urban life. Founded by Tara Liao and inspired by her own experience of constantly moving and redefining the living spaces, the brand began with a core collection of a little more than a dozen ritualistic objects that seamlessly double as decor for compact spaces without designated storage.
The collection draws inspiration from Western-influenced, eclectic Asian skylines that combine the International Style with vernacular, geometric ornamentation. The spirit is translated into rhythmic fine lines that run through each object and quietly disrupt the otherwise minimalist shapes. This echoes the decorative lineage that, even as modernism arrived, never quite surrendered to pure form.
The production embraces pre-digital manufacturing traditions, with most pieces involving at least one handmade process, from welded brass frames to hand-painted gold rims and mouth-blown glass. This is a subtle nod to a time when machine precision was met with human craftsmanship, and each product carries the marks of the process that makes it, not despite it.

As the founder of Liora Tyron, Tara Liao brings a career in brand communications and a lifelong eye for objects and interiors. Born in China and based in the US since 19, she launched the brand in 2026 after finding herself unable to buy a single glass or plate without committing to a set and deciding to design her own.
Tara spent her career working with brands across luxury hospitality, travel, lifestyle, and beyond, developing a deep understanding of how objects and spaces communicate identity. It was this background that gave her both the language and the instinct to bring Liora Tyron to life.
Liora Tyron is a reinvention of the founder’s given name, a gesture that mirrors the brand's own origin story. In her growing-up experience, Western names were adopted as freely as Western aesthetics: a form of self-translation, a reaching toward a world imagined from a distance. It is a name that belongs to no single place, just as the objects it marks belong to no single tradition.
